School Profile
Roosevelt High School is a destination school that draws students from across the city to attend one of four highly sought-after programs of study, including:
1) The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs, such as CISCO Networking, Gaming Design, Culinary Arts, Health Sciences, and Teaching Academy, where students have the opportunity to graduate with certifications that can be applied immediately to their career of choice.
2) The Scholars Program, an elite selective admission program designed to create the ideal college candidate through advanced level coursework, leadership, and service learning opportunities, where students emerge not only at the top of their class, but have a stellar resume to submit with their college and scholarship applications.
3) The Arts Program, focusing on both fine and performing arts, where students hone their craft through partnerships with prestigious arts organizations such as Steppenwolf Theater, Chicago Opera Theater, and the dance program Wellness for Everyone.
4) Dual Language Program, where students have the opportunity to earn the National Seal of Bi-Literacy, awarded to students who become proficient in two or more languages upon graduation.
